MDKJ Perera’s first victim was Indian captain  V Kohli. He was caught at the wicket of the bowling of AD  Mathews for 18 in India’s first innings.  MDKJ Perera was making his test debut for Sri Lanka at Col-SSC

NV Ojha’s first victim was Sri Lanka’ captain AD Mathews. He was caught at the wicket of the bowling of I Sharma for 1. NV Ojha was making his test debut  for India at Col-SSC

 It also provide the first ever such occurrence in the annals of test cricket
