NV Ojha’s first victim was Sri Lanka’ captain AD Mathews. He was caught at the wicket of the bowling of I Sharma for 1. NV Ojha was making his test debut  for India at Col-SSC

CA Pujara became the 30th Indian opening batsman to score a hundred against various oppositions

 

CA Puajara’s 135 not out at the end of the second day’s play in the ongoing third and final test between Sri Lanka and India at Col-SSC provide the 67th occasion of an Indian opening batsman scoring a hundred in a test innings against various oppositions on away. CA Pujara became the 20th Indian opening batsman to score a hundred against various oppositions on away soil

 

It is quite interesting to note that out of 134 occasions of Indian opening batsmen scoring hundreds – an exact half – that is 67 occasions – have been scored on away soil
