India post 400 three figure partnerships in one day games – becomes the first team to accomplish the feat

India posted two three figure partnerships in the fourth one day game against Sri Lanka – 219 for the third wicket between RG Sharma – V Kohli and 101 runs unfinished partnership for the sixth wicket between MK Pandey-MS Dhoni. These two three figure partnerships gave India 400 three figure partnerships. Thus India became the first team in the history of one day games to post 400 three figure partnerships. The last occasion when a West Indian batsman performed the feat of scoring centuries in both innings of a test  against England was GA Headley in Jun 1939. He had scored 106 and 107 at Lord’s. Thus it took 78 years for another West Indian batsman to score twin centuries  in a test against England
