JE Root and JC Buttler added 130 runs for the fifth wicket in this game provide the record partnership by England batsmen for the fifth wicket in the World Cup. The previous best was the 98 runs partnership between JE Root and JWA Taylor against Sri Lanka at Wellington on 01.03.15

Wahab Riaz of Pakistan returned with figures of 3 for 82 in this game to provide the 33rd occasion of a bowler conceding 80 plus runs in an innings in the World Cup. It also provides the very first occasion of a Pakistan bowler conceding 80 plus runs in an innings in the World Cup. Thus Wahab Riaz became Pakistan’s most expensive bowler in terms of runs conceded in an innings.

Wahab Riaz became the second bowler in the history of the world cup to capture three wickets conceding 80 plus runs. He returned with figures of 3 for 82 in this game. HS Baidwan of Canada had captured three  wickets  conceding 84 runs against New Zealand at Mumbai on 13.03.11
