Karnataka posted a total of 570 for 9 declared against Assam at Bandra Kurla Complex in the ongoing Ranji Trophy match to provide the 51st occasion of Karnataka posting a team total of 500 plus runs in an innings in Ranji Trophy. Amit Verma scored 125 not out for Assam against Karnataka at the end of the first day to provide the tenth occasion of his scoring a century in Ranji Trophy. He played for Karnataka till 2014-15 season and opted to play for Kerala. He represented Kerala till 2015-16 season. He scored two centuries representing Kerala – 129 against Goa in Dec 2014 and 142 against Assam in Feb 2015.
