India has played 55 T20Is. It has won 31 games, lost 22 games, one has ended in a tie, while one is a no result game. South Africa on the other hand has played 80 games. It has won 47 games, lost 32 games and one game has ended in no result
India and South Africa has played eight games. India has won six games and lost two games. The last occasion when these two team played a T20I was at Dhaka on 04.04.14 . It was the World T20 second Semifinal. India had emerged victorious in this game by six wickets with five balls to spare.
India’s highest team total is 189 for 5 at Gros Islet on 02.05.10, while South Africa’s highest team total is 219 for 4 at Johannesburg on 30.03.12. South Africa’s 219 for 4 also represents the highest team total in India-South Africa T20I series.
India’s lowest total is 116 for 9 at Nottingham on 20.09.07 while South Africa’s lowest team total is 118 for 8 at Durban on 20.09.07. South Africa’s 118 for 8 also represents the lowest team total in India-South Africa T20I series.
South Africa has been dismissed for 151 in 19.5 overs at Col-RPS on 02.10.12 providing the only occasion of a team dismissed all out in India-South Africa T20I series.
India’s SK Raina has an aggregate of 214 runs which represents the most runs by an Indian batsman against South Africa. JH Kallis’s 140 represent the most runs by a South African batsman against India. SK Raina’s 214 represent the most runs by a batsman in India-South Africa T20I series.
MS Dhoni has an aggregate of 99 runs and require one run for his 100 runs. If he gets it he would then become the fifth Indian batsman to total 100 plus runs against South Africa. Others are – SK Raina {214}, RG Sharma {181}, Yuvraj Singh {112} and V Kohli {103}
RG Sharma has an aggregate of 181 runs and requires 19 more runs for his 200. If he gets it, he would then become the second Indian batsman to score 200 plus runs against South Africa.
SK Raina {101}, V Kohli {72*}, RG Sharma {53 and 50 not out} are the three Indian batsman to score four fifties against South Africa. There are seven occasions of South African batmen scoring fifties against India. Five batsmen have scored these fifties. M Vijay, KD Karthik, YK Pathan and MS Dhoni are the four batsmen who have collected a duck against South Africa in T20Is. T Henderson, HM Amla, SM Pollock and JP Duminy are the four South African batsman to collect ducks against India in T20Is.

No South African bowler has captured an aggregate of five wickets against India in T20Is. J Botha’s four wickets is the most by a South African bowler against India.
RP Singh {4 for 13}, Zaheer Khan {3 for 22}, R Ashwin {3 for 22} and L Balaji {3 for 37} are the four Indian bowlers to capture three or more wickets against South Africa in T20Is. J Botha {3 for 16} is the only South African bowler to capture three or more wickets against India in T20Is. RP Singh {4 for 13} is the only bowler to capture four wickets in India-South Africa T20I series.
Indian batsmen have posted four fifty plus runs partnerships against South Africa in T20Is. South African batsmen have posted five fifty plus runs partnerships against India in T20Is, which includes one three figure partnership – 119 for the second wicket between JH Kallis and CA Ingram at Johannesburg on 30.03.12. This is the only three figure partnership posted by batsmen in India-South Africa T20I series
