SPD Smith of Australia scored 104 not out at the end of the first day’s play against Sri Lanka at Galle In the on-going first test to post his 35th century in tests. He became the seventh batsman in the annals of test cricket to score 35 plus centuries. The following table lists all these batsmen. He went past four batsmen – BC Lara, DPMD Jayawardene. SM Gavaskar and Younis Khan – who have scored 34 centuries in the annals of test cricket.

SPD Smith oF Australia who was stranded on 9999 test runs at the end of recently concluded test series against India in Australia duly completed 10000 test runs when he was one during his knock of 104 not out at the end of the first day’s play against Sri Lanka at Galle In the on-going  first test. His run aggregate read 10103 at the end of the first day’s play. He became the 15th batsman in the annals of test cricket to complete 10000 test runs.  The following table lists all these batsmen
