The Wisden Trophy – AN Cook and AJ Strauss earn the distinction of becoming the first England pair to add 5000 plus partnership runs in tests

AN Cook and AJ Strauss became the fifth pair in the annals of test cricket to add 5000 plus runs the annals of test cricket. At the end of the second test betweenEnglandand West Indies atNottingham, they added 5085 runs.  The record for most partnership runs in test cricket stands in the name of R Dravid and SR Tendulkar who have added 6920 runs.

AN Cook and AJ Strauss have added 4597 runs for the first wicket and stand third in the list of batsmen who have added most partnership runs for the first wicket
