Mangalore United innings witnessed four run outs to provide the tenth occasion of three or more batsmen dismissed run out in an innings of KPL. SA Bhavane, M Nishith. M Nidesh and N Shekawat were the four batsmen dismissed run out in Mangalore United’s innings to provide the first occasion of four batsmen dismissed run out in an innings of a KPL game.

KK Nair of Mangalore United and DK Mathias of Namma Shivamoogga were dismissed caught by substitutes in their respective innings to provide the tenth and eleventh occasion of a batsman dismissed caught by substitutes in KPL.

KK Nair became the third captain to be dismissed caught by substitute in KPL. Others are – C Raghu and RV Uthappa. This is the first occasion of rival batsmen dismissed caught by substitutes in a game of KPL.

SH Kirmani and STR Binny completed 500 runs in KPL and both have an identical aggregate of 507 runs at the end of this game. With these two batsmen reaching 500 runs, the number of batsmen totaling 500 plus runs in KPL swelled to 21

KK Nair’s run aggregate in KPL read 704 at the end of this game. He became the sixth batsman to total 700 plus runs in KPL. Others are – MA Agarwal {925}, R Jonathan {776}, B Chipli {747}. KB Pawan {716} and Amit Verma {712}

MA Agarwal’s run aggregate in KPL read 925 at the end of this game. He became the first batsman to compile 900 runs in KPL. He also holds the record for most boundary fours {78} and most boundary sixes {38}. All the three records were achieved by him in this game. He went past R Samarth and KB Pawan who had scored 73 boundary fours in KPL.

R Vinay Kumar scored 70 in this game to provide the 27th occasion of Belagavi Panthers batsman scoring a fifty in KPL. Belagavi Panthers has earned the distinction of scoring most fifties by a team in KPL

R Vinay Kumar’s 70 in this represents his fifth fifty in KPL. He became the eleventh batsman to score five or more fifties in KPL.  It also represents his highest score in KPL. His previous best was 64 not out against Mangalore United at Hubli on 03.09.15.

R Vinay Kumar’s 70 in this game represents the 22nd occasion of a captain scoring a fifty in KPL. It also represents his fourth fifty as captain. R Vinay Kumar became the third captain to score a fifty in KPL 2016. Others – CM Gautham and MK Pandey. It also represents the 18th occasion of a batsman scoring a fifty in KPL 2016

R Vinay Kumar returned with figures of 1 for 61 in this game to provide the second occasion of a bowler conceding 60 plus runs in an innings in KPL. The other occasion was Dhruv Sharma of Rockstars conceding 66 runs against Bijapur Bulls at Mysore on 13.09.15

Thus R Vinay Kumar was a batting hero with the willow and leather villain for his team in this game. He scored 70 and returned with 1 for 61 – the second most expensive bowling figures in an innings in KPL in terms of runs conceded

Hubli Tigers won this game with a ball to spare to provide the fifth occasion of a team winning a KPL game with a ball to spare. Out of the five occasions, one occasion was in a contrived game of ten overs.
