Q de Kock and HM Amla set up a world record

South African openers Q de Kock {168 not out} and HM Amla {110 not out} scored centuries against Bangladesh at Kimberley on 15.10.17 to provide the fourth occasion of them as openers scoring centuries in an innings in the history of one day internationals.

This feat of Q de Kock and HM Amla as openers scoring centuries  on four occasions constitute a world record for the same pair of both openers scoring centuries in the same innings. They went past the previous record of SC Ganguly and SR Tendulkar who had scored centuries as opening pair on three occasions. The feats of these two pairs are tabulated below
