HM Amla scored twin half centuries – 61 and 52 – against India in the just concluded Johannesburg test and South Africa lost the test by 63 runs. HM Amla’s effort provides the 19^th occasion of South African batsman’s twin half centuries going in vain. All such occasions are tabulated below.
