Shahzaib Hasan with his three zeroes became the fifth opening batsman to score three or more zeroes in the history of T20I. The other four are – ADS Fletcher of West Indies {04}, ST Jayasuriya of Sri Lanka {04}, HH Gibbs of South Africa {03} and Kamran Akmal of Pakistan {03}.

Kamran Akmal hit a six of MJ Johnson which gave him an aggregate of 25 sixes. He became the first Pakistan batsman to total 25 sixes in T20I. He became the ninth batsman in the history of T20I to aggregate 25 plus sixes. Others are – BB McCullum {39}, Yuvraj Singh {38}, CH Gayle {34}, DA Warner {31 plus}, CL White {31 plus}, JA Morkel {29}, DJ Hussey {27 plus} and LRPL Taylor {26}.

Kamran Akmal became the first wicket keeper batsman in the history of T20I to score 25 sixes. He wrested the record from BB McCullum who has scored 24 boundary sixes.

Kamran Akmal hit four boundary fours during his knock of 33 in this game. He now has an aggregate of 62 boundary fours in his T20I career. He became the third wicket keeper batsman in the history of T20I games to total 60 plus boundary fours. The other two are – KC Sangakkara {72} and BB McCullum {60}

Kamran Akmal has an aggregate of 666 runs as a wicket keeper batsman in T20I. His aggregate places him in the list of wicket keeper batsmen who have scored 600 plus runs in T20I. Umar Gul was dismissed first ball in this game providing the 119th occasion of a batsman collecting the first ball duck in the history of T20I. His dismissal in this game also provides the 19th occasion of a batsman suffering such an ignominy against Australia.

Salman Butt and Kamran Akmal added 61 runs for the second wicket in this game providing the record stand for the second wicket by Pakistan batsmen against Australia. The previous best was the 43 runs stand between Kamran Akmal and Salman Butt at Birmingham on 05.07.10

SNJ O’Keefe with his 3 for 29 in this game became the third Australian bowler to capture three or more wickets on T20I debut. Others are – 4 for 29 by MS Kasprowicz vs New Zealand at Auckland on 17.02.05 and 3 for 18 by AF Noffke vs New Zealand at Perth on 11.12.07.

SNJ O’Keefe became the first Australian bowler to capture three wickets on T20I debut against Pakistan. MJ Clarke scored 30 in this game as a captain opening batsman to take his aggregate to 100 runs. He became the seventh captain opener to total 100 plus runs. Others are – GC Smith {767}, CH Gayle {490}, WTS Porterfield {263}, BB McCullum {165}, SP Fleming {110} and RR Watson {102}. MJ Clarke became the first Australian captain opening batsman to total 100 runs in T20I

At the end of this game, MJ Clarke has an aggregate of 353 runs as captain. He became the eighth captain in the history of T20I to total 350 plus runs. Other seven captains are – GC Smith {803}. KC Sangakkara {595}, CH Gayle {490}, PD Collingwood {464}, MS Dhoni {441}, RT Ponting {401} and Shoaib Malik {401}. MJ Clarke became the second Australian captain after RT Ponting {401} to total 350 plus runs.

DJ Hussey was playing his 25th T20 in this game, He became the third Australian batsman to appear in 25 plus T20I. Other two are – MJ Clarke {33} and MEK Hussey {27}. MEK Hussey {27} and DJ Hussey {25} earned the distinction of becoming the first brothers to play 25 or more T20Is.

CL White completed 500 runs when he was on 2 during the course of his knock of 7 in this game. At the end of this game his aggregate stood at 505. He became the 22nd batsman to aggregate 500 plus runs in T20I. He is the third Australian batsman to total 500 plus runs. Others are – DA Warner {644} and DJ Hussey {579}.

At the end of this game, Saeed Ajmal has an aggregate of 35 wickets in T20I. He became the fourth bowler in the history of T20I to capture 35 plus wickets. The four bowlers are – Umar Gul {46}, Shahid Afridi {44}, DL Vettori {35}, Saeed Ajmal {35},

Mohammad Aamer and Umar Gul’s tally of wickets against Australia stood at 12 and 10 respectively. Umar Gul captured one wicket and Mohammad Aamer captured three wickets in this game. These are the only two Pakistan bowlers to capture ten or more wickets against Pakistan.

It is interesting to note that Mohammad Aamer has played four games against Australia and captured three wickets in each of the four games. His performance read thus – 3 for 23 at Gros Islet on 02.05.10, 3 for 5 at Gros Islet on 14.05.10, 3 for 27 at Birmingham on 05.06.10 and 3 for 27 at Birmingham on 06.07.10.

Mohammad Aamer {12}, DP Nannes {10} and Umar Gul {10} are the three bowlers who have an aggregate of ten or more wickets in Pakistan-Australia T20I series. It is interesting to note that all the three bowlers reached the milestone of ten wickets in this game.

MG Johnson was dismissed first ball in this game providing the eleventh occasion of an Australian batsman collecting the first ball duck in T20I. It was the second such ignominy for MG Johnson, the first occasion was also against Pakistan at Gros Islet on 02.05.10. MG Johnson and MJ Clarke are the two Australian batsmen to collect the first ball duck on two occasions in T20I

SNJ O’Keefe was dismissed run out for 5 in this game providing the fourth occasion of an Australian batsman run out on T20I debut. The other three are – MG Johnson for 9 vs Zimbabwe at Cape Town on 12.09.07, AA Noffke for zero vs New Zealand at Perth on 11.12.07 and MC Henriques for 1 vs New Zealand at Sydney on 15.02.09. He is the 33rd batsman in the history of T20I to be dismissed run out on debut.

TD Paine and MG Johnson scored zeroes in this game and the number of zeroes by Australian batsmen in T20I games swelled to 24. MG Johnson with his two ducks became the seventh Australian batsman to score two or more zeroes in T20Is. The other six are – DJ Hussey {03}, MJ Clarke {02}, RT Ponting {02}, A Symonds {02} DA Warner {02} and SR Watson {02}

TD Paine’s zero in this game provides the 24th occasion of a wicket keeper batsman scoring zero in T20I. He became the second Australian wicket keeper batsman to score zero in T20I after BJ Haddin who had failed to open his account against South Africa at Jo’burg on 27.03.09

Kamran Akmal effected a stumping in this game to take his total dismissals to 44 out of which 28 are stumping dismissals. It is interesting to note that no other wicket keeper has effected ten stumping dismissals in T20Is

Umar Gul who had captured 90 wickets in T20 games in the first game of this two match series extended his tally of wickets to 91. He is the fifth bowler in the history of T20 games to total 90 plus wickets. Others are – DP Nannes {117}, JA Morkel {99}, Yasir Arafat {98}, Umar Gul {91} and GR Napier {90}
