Others are AR Border of Australia scored 45 runs facing 204 deliveries against South Africa at Cape Town in Mar 1994 and JC Adams of West Indies scored 48 not out facing 212 deliveries against Pakistan at St John’s in May 2000.

Thus HM Amla holds the dubious record of a captain scoring least numbers of runs while playing the most deliveries in the annals of test cricket
