V Sibanda of Zimbabwe, P Utseya of Zimbabwe and DM Bravo of West Indies collected their first ball ducks in this game. At the end of this game number of occasions of a batsman collecting first ball ducks in a T20I game stood at 99.

DM Bravo collected his first ball duck on his T20I debut to provide the 18^th occasion of a batsman collecting the first ball duck on T20I debut. He is the third West Indian batsman to suffer such an ignominy. The other two are – DM Richards vs Bangladesh at Basseterre on 02.08.09 and N Deonarine vs Australia at Hobart on 21.02.10

ADS Fletcher of West Indies score zero in this game which was his fourth duck in T20I games. He is on par with HH Gibbs of South Africa who has also scored four zeroes. These two batsmen now share the record for most zeroes in T20I games.

Six batsmen of Zimbabwe scored zeroes in this game – V Sibanda, T Taibu, S Matsikenyeri, BRM Taylor, SW Masakadza and P Utseya – providing the second occasion of most zeroes in a T20I innings. DJ Sammy {5 for 26} captured five wickets this game providing the third occasion of bowler capturing five wickets in a T20I innings. The other two occasion are – Umar Gul of Pakistan {5 for 06 vs New Zealand at The Oval on 13.06.09 and N Odhiambo of Kenya {5 for 20 vs Scotland at Nairobi-G on 04.02.10}

SJ Benn {4 for 06} and DJ Sammy {5 for 26} captured four and five wickets respectively in this game which were in a losing cause providing the eighth and ninth occasion of bowler’s four or more wickets going in vain.

DJ Sammy {5 for 26} captured five wickets in this game which was in a losing caue providing the very first occasion of bowler’s five wicket haul going in vain in the history of T20I games.

SW Maskadza became the ninth related cricketer to play T20I game. His brother H Masakadza had already represented Zimbabwe in T20I games.

New Zealand and Australia scored 214 runs each in this game and their combined total of 428 runs represent the highest aggregate in a T20I game. The previous best was 418 runs between India [218 for 4} and England {200 for 6} at Durban on 19.09.07

JDP Oram of New Zealand {0 for 52} conceded 50 plus runs without capturing a wicket in this game to provide the second occasion of his conceding 50 plus runs with out capturing a wicket in a T20I games. The first occasion was against South Africa at Durban on 19.09.07 when he returned with figures of none for 50

JDP Oram remains the only bowler in the history of T20I games to concede 50 plus without capturing a wicket on two occasions.

BB McCullum with his 116 not out in this game scored his seventh one day fifty {01c plus 06 HC} and holds the record for most fifties in T20I games. He wrested the record from India’s G Gambhir who had six fifties {all half centuries} to his credit.

BB McCullum hit eight sixes in his innings of 116 not out and at the end of this game he has 105 sixes in T20 games. He became the third batsman after LRPL Taylor {115} and DJ Hussey {107} to aggregate 100 plus sixes in T20 games.

BB McCullum hit 12 boundary fours in his innings of 116 not out to take his aggregate of boundary fours to 216 in T20 games. He is one of the four batsmen to have an aggregate of 200 plus boundary fours in T20 games. The other three are – BJ Hodge {273}, GC Smith {229} and IJ Harvey {202}

At the end of this game, BB McCullum has an aggregate of 2268 T20 runs. He is the third batsman after BJ Hodge {2547} and DJ Hussey {2355} to have an aggregate of 2000 plus T20 runs.

BB McCullum with his 116 not out in this game registered his 15^th T20 fifty {03C plus 12 HC}. He is the third batsman in T20 games to register 15 or more fifties. The other two are – BJ Hodge {19 – 01C plus 18HC} and HD Ackerman {17 – all HCs}

GP Hopkins of New Zealand was dismissed hit wicket in this game. He is the third batsman in the history of T20I games to be dismissed hit wicket.
