The history of one day games witnessed the 3000^th game when England and Australia met at Rose Bowl on 22.06.10

The first ever one day game was played on 05.01.1971 between Australia and England at Melbourne. It is quite befitting that the same two teams are playing the 3000^th one day, albeit with a difference. The first one day game was played in Australia while the 3000^th one day game is played in England.
