South Africa will be playing its 83rd T20I when it meets India in the third T20I at Kolkata. South Africa and New Zealand will share the second place among the teams which have played most T20Is in the history of T20 Internationals. The first place is occupied by Pakistan which has played 92 games

South Africa has won 49 T20Is so far. One more win would give South Africa its 50th win and South Africa would become the second team to 50 T20I games.   Pakistan is the other team to win 50 T20Is. It has won 56 T20Is

SK Raina has an aggregate of 983 runs in T20Is. He needs 17 more runs for his 1000 runs. If he gets them, he would then become the 21st batsman in the history of T20Is to total 1000 plus runs. He would also become the second Indian batsman after V Kohli to total 1000 plus runs.

V Kohli has scored nine fifties in T20Is prior to the start of this game. One more fifty would fetch him his tenth fifty. Both the batsmen would have scored nine fifties.

R Ashwin who holds the record for most wickets by an Indian bowler in T20Is with 29 wickets to his credit needs one more wicket for his 30 wickets in T20Is. If he gets it, he would then become the first Indian bowler to capture 30 wickets in T20Is. He would also become the 36th bowler to capture 30 plus wickets in the history of T20Is.

JP Duminy has pouched 28 catches in T20Is prior to the start of this game. He needs two more catches for his 30 catches. If he takes them he would then become the second South African fieldsman to pouch 30 plus catches. AB de Villiers has taken 37 catches.

AB de Villiers has taken 37 catches prior to the start of this game. He needs three more catches for his 40 catches. If he takes them, he would then become the first South African fieldsman to take 40 cathces. He would also become the first fieldsman to take 40 catches in T20Is. He would go past LRPL Taylor of New Zealand who has taken 39 catches in T20Is.

Q de Cock and AB de Villers share the record for most dismissals by a South African wicket keeper in T20Is. Both have effected 27 dismissals. One more dismissal for Q de Cock would fetch him the record for most dismissals by a South African wicket keeper in T20Is.
