Bowlers conceding 200 plus runs in a test innings

Taijul Islam of Bangladesh returned with figures of four for 219 against Sri Lanka at Chittagong to provide the 32nd occasion of a bowler conceding 200 plus runs in a test innings in the annals of test cricket. All such occasions are tabulated below. Taijil Islam became the first Bangladesh bowler to leak 200 plus runs in a test innings.

RK Chauhan and A Kumble conceded 276 and 223  runs respectively against Sri Lanka at Col-RPS in Aug 1997.

Rival skippers scoring centuries in the same test

F du Plessis of South Africa and V Kohli of India scored 120 and 112 respectively in the one day game between South Africa  and  India at Durban on 01.02.18 to provide the fourth occasion of rival skippers scoring centuries in the history of one day games. All such occasions are tabulated below.

It is interesting to note that out of the four occasions, India figures in three occasions. Indian captain V Kohli appears in three occasions. The feat at Ranchi is unique as the rival skippers – AD Mathews of Sri  Lanka and V Kohli of India scored an identical score  of  139  not out.
