M Labuschange-DA Warner of Australia posted 294 runs in an unfinished partnership for the second wicket against Pakistan at Adelaide in the ongoing test to provide the 14th occasion of batsmen posting a three-figure partnership in a Day-Night tests. All such occasions are tabulated below in the descending order of runs.

It also represents the highest partnership for any wicket in a Day-Night Test surpassing the previous best of 248 runs for the third wicket between AN Cook and JE Root in the test between England and West Indies at Birmingham in Aug 2017.

It is interesting to note that the wicket-keeper batsmen were in the forefront in the just concluded three tests. In the test between India and Bangladesh at Kolkata, Bangladesh wicket keeper batsman scored Mushfiqur Rahim scored a defiant 74 in Bangladesh’s second innings. Pakistan’s wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan scored 95 against Australia at Brisbane in Pakistan’s second innings. New Zealand wicket-keeper batsman BJ Watling came up with a double century – 205 against England at Mount Mounganai in New Zealand’s first innings.

Interesting all these three tests have been won by an innings by the victorious teams. India won by an innings and 46 runs against Bangladesh. Australia won by an innings and five runs against Pakistan. New Zealand won by an innings and 65 runs against England.
