SM Curran of England collected a “King Pair” in the just concluded Lord’s test against England to provide the eleventh occasion of a batsman collecting a king pair in the annals of test cricket. Second Test – England Vs India at Lord’s – Final day

Mohammad Shami and JJ Bumrah added unbeaten 89 runs for the ninth wicket in India’s second innings to provide the best partnership by Indian batsmen for the ninth wicket against England on away soil.

It is also the best stand for the ninth wicket by Indian batsmen against England at Lord’s. The previous best was 66 runs between N Kapil Dev and S Madanlal in Jun 1982. Thus Mohd Shami and JJ Bumrah rewrote the 39 year old partnership for the ninth wicket against England at Lord’s.

Mohd Shami scored 56 not out in India’s second innings to provide the 15th occasion of an Indian batsman scoring a fifty against England while batting at number nine.
