Mohammad Nabi of Afghanistan and Babar Azam of Pakistan collected the first ball ducks in the tenth game of the ongoing Asia Cup 2022 T20I between Afghanistan and Pakistan at Sharjah on 07 Sep 2022 to provide the second occasion of rival captains scoring first ball ducks in the history of Twenty20 internationals.

The first such occasion was witnessed in a T20I in the game between Greece and Sweden at Vantaa on 18 Jul 2022. A Venkatesh of Sweden and A Manousis of Greece who were leading their respective teams collected the first ball ducks.
