JE Root’s distinction – becomes the second England batsman to score fifth hundred on home soil at number five
JE Root became the second England batsman to score five or more hundreds at home while batting at number five after IR Bell. J Root’a 134 against Australia in the ongoing first test at Cardiff was his fifth hundred while batting at number five. IR Bell has six hundreds to his credit while batting at number five at home.
