Wicket keeper batsmen scoring twin fifties on test debut
MDKJ Perera of Sri Lanka who made his test debut for Sri Lanka achieved a rare distinction of scoring fifties in both innings of a test. He scored 55 and 70 against India at Col-SSC in the just concluded test. He became the third wicket keeper batsman in the annals of test cricket to score twin fifties on debut. He emulated Dilawar Hussain or India and LD Chandimal of Sri Lanka. It was interesting to note that LD Chandimal was in the playing eleven in this test.
