Batsmen scoring consecutive centuries in one day games – AB de Villier’s record

AB de Villiers of South Africa scored consecutive centuries against India –  at Chennai on 22.10.15 he scored 112 and followed up with 119 at Mumbai on 25.10.15 – to provide the sixth occasion of his scoring two or more consecutive centuries in one day games on six occasions. The following table lists all such occasions.

His feat includes scoring three consecutive centuries. He is one of the  seven   batsman who have scored three consecutive hundreds in the annals of one day games. Others are – KC Sangakara of Sri Lanka {04} Q de Kock of South Africa {03}, HH Gibbs of South Africa {03}, Saeed Anwar of Pakistan {03}, LR Taylor of New Zealand {03}  and Zaheer Abbas of Pakistan {03}.
