He has performed the feat of scoring twin hundreds for the third time in his test career. SM Gavaskar had scored twin hundreds against West Indies on two occasions, while RT Ponting had performed the feat on two occasions against South Africa. DA Warner’s feat is different from SM Gavaskar and RT Ponting as he has scored twin hundreds against three different teams – South Africa, India and New Zealand

DA Warner became the second Australian batsman after RT Ponting to score twin hundreds on three occasions. He also became the second opening batsman to perform the feat after SM Gavaskar. DA Warner is the only left handed opening batsman to perform such a feat in the annals of test cricket.

DA Warner’s feat of twin hundreds in this test provide the 80^th occasion of a batsman scoring centuries in both inning of a test. It also provides the 22^nd occasion of an Australian batsman scoring twin hundreds in a test.

DA Warner’s feat of twin hundreds in this test provides the 29th occasion of an opening batsman scoring centuries in both innings of a test. It also provides the tenth occasion of an Australian opening batsman scoring twin hundreds in a test.

It also provides the 21^st occasion of a left handed batsman to score twin hundreds in a test and also provides the 12^th occasion of a left handed opening batsman to score hundreds in both innings of a test.
