R Ashwin’s aggregate of wickets at the end of the just concluded test series between India and South Africa read 31. His feat provides the seventh occasion of an Indian bowler capturing 30 plus wickets in a test series. All such occasions are listed below

It also represents the record for most wickets taken by an Indian bowler in a four test series at home. It was an improvement over his own 29 wickets against Australia in 2012-13
