Delhi Test – Fifth day highlights

HM Amla scored 25 runs in 244 deliveries in its second innings of this test  to become the third captain in the annals of test cricket to score less than 50 runs in an innings while facing 200 plus deliveries. Others are AR Border of Australia scored 45 runs facing 204 deliveries against South Africa at Cape Town in Mar 1994 and JC Adams of West Indies scored 48 not out facing 212 deliveries against Pakistan at St John’s in May 2000.

Thus HM Amla holds the dubious record of a captain scoring least numbers of runs while playing the most deliveries in the annals of test cricket
