Shahid Afridi’s feat – returns with the second best bowling figures by a captain in the history of Twenty20 games

Shahid Afridi captured 5 for 7 representing Peshwar Zalmi against Quetta Gladiators at Sharjah on 14.02.16 in the ongoing Pakistan Super League to provide the second best bowling figures by a captain in the history of Twenty20 games. The best figures are credited to Shakib Al Hasan who returned with figures of 2.4.-0-18-6 while leading Prime Bank against Moahammedan at Sylhet on 26.12.13.

Shahid Afrdi’s 5 for 7 gives him a distinction of becoming the only captain to capture five or more wickets conceding single digit runs in the history of Twenty20 games. The following table lists out 18 captains who have captured five or more wickets in a Twenty20 game
