MN Samuels of West Indies got the Man of the Match Award in the 8th game of the Tri Series between West Indies and Australia at Bridgetown on 21.01.16 to provide the 236th occasion of a cricketer getting the Man of the Match award when his team has lost the one-day game. It also provides the 20th occasion of a West Indies cricketer getting an award when West Indies had lost the one-day game

MN Samuel’s award in this game was his third award when West Indies has lost the one-day game. He became the 18th batsman in the annals of one day games to bag three or more Man of the Match Awards when a team has lost the one day game
