SR Tendulkar owned another world record in the match against Sri Lanka at Nagpur. At the end of the match he has the most run aggregate by any batsman in the world against Sri Lanka – 2861. Having already aggregated 3005 runs against Australia, Tendulkar now has the most runs against two specific oppositions which no batsman has in the history of one day internationals. Tendulkar is the only batsman in the history of one day internationals to aggregate 3000 runs against a specific opposition – 3005 against Australia.

By aggregating 2861 runs against Sri Lanka, Tendulkar has now the most run aggregate in India-Sri Lanka one day series. He went past ST Jayasuriya who had an aggregate of 2853 runs, which was the previous record for most run aggregate in the series
