Mithali Raj earned the distinction of becoming the first batswoman to score 6000 plus runs in the history of Women One day Internationals. She reached the land mark when she was on 41 during her knock of 69 in the ongoing World Women’s Cup game against Australia at Bristol today – the 12th July 17. Her run aggregate at the end of India’s innings read 6028.
She not only became the first batswoman to score 6000 runs but also became the highest run getter in Women’s one day games. She went past England’s CM Edwards’ total of 5992 when she was on 34 during her knock of 69 today.
