FDM Karunaratne has an aggregate of 949 runs and CA Pujara has an aggregate of 922 runs in 2017 and requires 51 and 78 more runs  for their  1000 runs. If they score these, then they would become the second and third batsman to score 1000 plus runs in 2017. D Elgar of South Africa has scored 1097 runs
