JM Anderson returned with figures of 30.0-4-111-0 in England’s first innings against South Africa in the ongoing test at Johannesburg providing the 13^th occasion of a bowler conceding Nelson with out capturing a wicket in a test innings in the annals of test cricket. He is the third England bowler to earn this dubious distinction, after DR Smith {vs India at Kanpur in Dec 1961} and GG Arnold {vs West Indies at Lord’s in Aug 1973.
