Test cricket witnesses the first occasion of a team total in excess of 500 runs without byes and leg byes
Bangladesh posted a total of 513 against Sri Lanka in the just concluded test at Chittagong. This total did not contain byes and leg byes to provide the first occasion of a team total in excess of 500 plus runs without byes and leg byes in the annals of test cricket. The previous best was Australia’s 494 for 7 declared against South Africa at Cape Town in Mar 2014. The three occasions of team totals of 400 plus runs without byes and leg byes are tabulated below
