JM Anderson rewrites the English record for most five plus wickets in a test innings.

JM Anderson of England captured five wickets conceding 40 runs against South Africa in the ongoing test at Cape Town. These figures represent his 28th five or more wicket hauls in a test innings. He now holds the record for most five wicket hauls by an England pace bowler. He rewrote the record held by IT Botham. IT Botham had taken five or more wickets in an innings on 27 occasions
