AC Gilchrist and RP Singh’s appearance in this game gave them the record for most capped cricketers in IPL. Both were playing their 32nd game.

AC Gilchrist became the first batsman in IPL to aggregate 1000 runs. He reached the milestone when he was on 15 during the course of his knock of 38 in this game. At the end of this game his run aggregate stood at 1023.

A Symonds scored 50 runs in this game, which was his second IPL half century and third fifty. It was his seventh T20 half century and also his ninth T20 fifty.

This game was JA Morkel’s 94th T20 game. He became the second most capped T20 cricketer in the history of T20 games. The record for most appearances in T20 games is held by DJ Hussey who has played 95 T20 games. DJ Hussey and JA Morkel are the only two cricketers to play 90 plus T20 games.

RJ Sharma {54}, HH Gibbs {54} and JM Kemp {56} are the other three batsmen who played this game and increased their tally of 50 plus sixes to the number mentioned in the parenthesis against their name. RG Sharma, HH Gibbs and JM Kemp hit a six each in this game.

AC Gilchrist with two dismissals in this game has effected 27 dismissals in IPL, one shy of the record of 28 dismissals effected by KRD Karthik

AC Gilchrist stumping dismissal {JM Kemp of PP Ojha for 22} in this game gave him his 10th stumping dismissal in IPL. He now holds the record for most stumping dismissal in IPL games. He wrested the record from KRD Karthik who has nine stumping dismissals to his credit.

SK Raina’s lone six in this game gave him 40 boundary sixes in IPL. He is the third batsman in IPL to hit 40 plus boundary sixes. The other two batsmen are – AC Gilchrist {54} and YK Pathan {45}

AC Gilchrist hit four boundary fours in this game which gave him 112 boundary fours in IPL. He now holds the record for most boundary fours by a batsman in IPL. He wrested the record from G Gambhir who has 109 boundary fours to his credit.

At the end of this game Gilchrist owns four IPL records – Most runs {1023}, Most fifties {08}, Most boundary fours {112} and most boundary sixes {54}. He shares the IPL record for most appearances – 32 with his team mate RP Singh

RP Singh took three catches in this game to become the sixth fieldsman to pouch three or more catches in an IPL game.
