RA Jadeja celebrated his 50th test appearance by scoring 57 in the first innings of this test. He also stitched a partnership of 121 runs with his skipper AM Rahane for the sixth wicket.
His 57 in India’s first innings represent his 15th half century and also his 16th fifty. His run aggregate read 1926 at the end of first innings.
TM Paine effected his 150th dismissal when he caught RR Pant off MA Starc. Breakup of his 150 dismissal read thus 147th catch plus 07 stumping dismissals. It also provides his 31st dismissal against India – all catches.
N Lyon’s aggregate of wickets at the end of Indian innings read 394 which includes his 3 for 72 in India’s first innings. He has also captured 195 wickets on home soil.

AM Rahane’s catch to dismiss M Labuschagne off R Ashwin fetched him an aggregate of 85 catches in tests. Others are – R Dravid {209}, VVS Laxman {135}, SR Tendulkar {115}, SM Gavaskar {108}, Azharuddin {105} and V Sehwag {90}. AM Rahane went past V Kohli who had an aggregate of 84 catches on his way to occupy the seventh place.
RA Jadeja captured two wickets in Australia’s second innings which fetched him an aggregate of 216 wickets and 59 wickets on away soil. Jadeja has an aggregate of 59 wickets against Australia of which ten wickets are on Australian soil
R Ashwin’s lone wicket in Australia’s second innings fetched him an aggregate of 374 wickets and 120 wickets on away soil. R Ashwin has an aggregate of 86 wickets against Australia of which 36 wickets are on Australian soil
