The list includes two occasions of team posting identical scores of 657d for 8 and 657 for 7d. The first occasion was by Pakistan against West Indies at Bridgetown in Jan 1958 and the second occasion was by India against Australia  at Kolkata in Mar 2001. These two tests have got their own importance in the annals of test cricket, When Pakistan posted 657 for 8 in the third innings of the test, its opening batsman scored 337. This innings is also the longest test innings – 16 hours and 53 minutes. India’s total of 657 for 7d was built on VVS Laxman’s 281 and R Dravid’s 180 and their 376 runs partnership for the fifth wicket. India won this test by 171 runs to provide the second occasion of a team winning a test after being asked to follow on.
