ICC WT20 : Kamran Akmal sets wicket keeper's records – for most runs and most dismissals – in ICC WT20
Kamran Akmal became the first wicket keeper batsman to aggregate 300 runs in ICC WT20. He reached the milestone when he was on 68 during the course of his knock of 73 in the game between Bangladesh and Pakistan at Gros Islet on 01.05.10. At the end of this game his aggregate stood at 305. He wrested the record from KC Sangakkara of Sri Lanka who had an aggregate of 285 runs. Other wicket keeper batsman to aggregate 250 plus runs is India’s MS Dhoni {255}
Kamran Akmal’s 73 in this game represent the highest individual score by a Wicket keeper batsman in ICC WT20. He wrested the previous record held by KC Sangakkara of Sri Lanka – 64 not out vs Pakistan at Lord’s on 21.06.09
