KP Pietersen’s lone six in his knock of 24 gave him the record for most sixes by an England batsman in ICC WT20. It was his eleventh six and he wrested the record from OA Shah who had an aggregate of 10 sixes

CH Gayle’s two sixes in this game gave him an aggregate of 20 sixes in ICC WT20. He became the second batsman in ICC WT20 to score 20 plus sixes. Yuvraj Singh of India with 24 sixes to his credit is the other batsman who has an aggregate of 20 plus sixes

This stand represents the first occasion of a fifty plus runs partnership for the fifth wicket by England batsmen in ICC WT20 and hence a record stand. The previous best was 24 runs between A Flintoff and KP Pietersen vs Australia at Cape Town on 14.09.07

EJG Morgan and LG Wright added 95 runs for the fifth wicket in this game providing the fifth occasion of a ninety plus runs partnership by England batsman in ICC WT20. His knock which went in vain provides the fourth occasion of an England batsman’s fifty in a losing cause. KA Pollard was dismissed stumped for zero in this game providing the 33rd occasion of a batsmen dismissed stumped in ICC WT20. He is the third batsman in ICC WT20 to be dismissed stumped without scoring. KA Pollard’s dismissal stumped in this game is his second such dismissal in ICC WT20. He was dismissed stumped for 3 against Sri Lanka at The Oval n 19.06.09

KA Pollard is the second batsman in ICC WT20 to be dismissed stumped on two occasions. His team mate DJ Bravo is the other batsman {for 2 vs Bangladesh at Jo’burg on 13.09.07 and for 18 vs England at The Oval on 15.06.09} is the other batsman who has been dismissed stumped on two occasions.
