V Permaul of West Indies captured five of 35 against Sri Lanka in the ongoing test at Galle to provide the 17th occasion of a West Indies left arm spinner capturing five or more wickets in a test innings. He also became the fourth West Indies left arm spinner to perform such a feat. All such occasions are tabulated below
