It was for the first time in the annals of test cricket two spin bowlers who shared the new ball in a test innings went on to share the ten wickets equally that fell in that innings. Sri Lankan spin twins L Embuldenia {5-35} and RTM Mendis {5-66} of Sri Lanka shared the ten wickets equally in the fourth innings of the test against West Indies at Galle. They also shared the new ball.
