Babar Azam-Mohammad Rizwan pair scripts a new record for century partnerships by an opening pair in T20Is
Babar Azam M Rizwan of Pakistan posted 158 runs partnership for the first wicket against West Indies at Karachi on 16.12.21 to provide the 100th occasion of batsmen posting a three figure partnership for the first wicket in the history of Twenty20 internationals
It also represents their fifth opening century partnership constituting a record for most century partnerships by an opening pair in the history of Twenty20 Internationals. They went past S Dhawn-RG Sharma and KL Rahul-RG Sharma pair which had posted four opening century partnerships.
