200 plus runs partnerships for the first two wickets in a test innings
Test cricket witnessed the third occasion of batsmen posting 200 plus runs partnerships for the first two wickets. Sri Lankan batsmen KNM Fernando and FDM Karunaratne added 228 runs for the first wicket and KNM Fernando-BKG Mendis posted 268 runs for the second wicket against Ireland in the ongoing test at Galle. All the three such occasions are tabulated. India is the only team to perform such a feat on two occasions
