India wrapped up this series 5-0 providing the 25th occasion of a team winning the five match series 5-0. It was India’s second Five-Nil win, the first being its win over England in 2008-09

This game was completed within the first half of the match. This is perhaps the first such occasion in the history of one day games.

India won this game by eight wickets with 173 balls remaining providing India’s win with most balls to spare against New Zealand. This win bettered India’s win by seven wickets with 160 balls to spare at Auckland on 27.03.94. India has won two other games against New Zealand with 100 plus balls to spare – by six wickets at Mumbai {BS} on 29.11.95 with 108 balls to spare and by nine wickets at Nagpur on 31.10.87 with 107 balls to spare.
