ICC Champions Trophy 2009 : Pakistan scores easy win over West Indies

Match Number 02 : Group A : Pakistan vs West Indies at Johannesburg on 23.09.09 : Pakistan won by five wickets

Pakistan and West Indies were led by Shahid Afridi and FR Reifer respectivlely. Both these captains were making their first appearance as captains in ICC Champions Trophy. FR Reifer and Shahid Afridi became the 39th and 40th captains to lead a team in the Champions Trophy.

GC Tonge’s four for 25 in this game was in a losing cause providing the second occasion of a West Indian bowler’s four or more wickets haul in vain in the tournament.
