Indian Test discard Mayank Agarwal of Karnataka has shown that he has cricket still left in him as runs have come in heap in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy. He has amassed 613 runs in the league phase – most by a batsman in the league phase of the tournament. He has scored four centuries of which three are consecutive. He became the sixth batsmen in the tournament to score four centuries in a Vijay Hazare Trophy season. For the fifth time in the annals of test cricket, a captain of a team was dropped from the playing eleven due to his poor performance though there are numerous occasion of a captain not finding a place in the playing eleven due to  injury.
