Delhi becomes the fifth team to bag one hundred Man of the Match Awards

Delhi became the fifth team in the Indian Premier League to bag 100 plus Man of the Match Awards. DA Warner was awarded Man of the Match Award for his 92 not out against Sunrisers at Mum-BS on 05.05.22. Mumbai leads the table with 124 awards followed by Chennai which has 122 awards to its credit. The following table lists the teams which have bagged 100 plus awards in Indian Premier League. Punjab has 99 such awards and one more award would make it the sixth team.

He reached the milestone of 1000 boundary fours when he scored his 21st boundary four in the ongoing IPL. Shikar Dhawan has scored 692 boundary fours in IPL at the end of the game between Punjab and Titans at Mum-DYP on 03.05.22 in the ongoing IPL. He needs eight more boundary fours to score 700 boundary fours in IPL. If he gets them, then he would become the first batsman in the history of IPL to score 700 plus boundary fours.

He is on threshold of another IPL record. He has scored 49 fifties in IPL.  -02C + 47HC.  His 62 not out against Titans for Punjab at Mum-DYP on 03.05.22 was his 49th fifty. He needs one more fifty for his 50th IPL Fifty. If gets it, he would then become the second batsman in the history of IPL to score 50 fifties after DA Warner. DA Warner has scored 57 fifties – 04C + 53HC
