In the fourth one day between Sri Lanka and Australia at Col-RPS on 21.06.22, the following three interesting Statistical nuggets have been observed concerning the opening batsmen

AJ Finch scored zero in this game to provide the 100th occasion of an Australian opening batsman scoring zero in one day internationals.

DA Warner’s 99 in this game provide the 50th occasion of a batsman scoring 99 in the history of one day internationals.

Australian openers DA Warner scored 99 while A Finch scored zero in this game to provide very first occasion of opening batsmen dismissed for 99 and zero.

Batsmen dismissed stumped for ninety nine

One day internationals has witnessed two occasion of batsmen dismissed stumped for 99. The batmen are VVS Laxman of India and DA Warner of Australia.

DA Warner of Australia was dismissed stumped for 99 by Sri Lankan wicket keeper N Dickwella in the fourth one day between Sri Lanka and Australia at Col-RPS on 21.06.22. The only other batsman to be dismissed stumped for 99 in a one day international is VVS Laxman of India. VVS Laxman was dismissed stumped by RD Jacobs off the bowling of CH Gayle for 99 in the one day international between India and West Indies at Nagpur on 09 Nov 2002
