RG Sharma was dismissed stumped for 12 in the first innings of this test to provide the second occasion of an Indian captain opener dismissed stumped in a test innings. The first such occasion was NJ Contractor’s dismissal against England at Eden Gardens in the third innings of the test which had a start date of 30 Dec 1961. It also provides the first occasion of an Indian captain opener dismissed stumped in a test innings against Australia.
RG Sharma was dismissed stumped for 12 in the first innings of this test to provide the 29th occasion of an Indian opener dismissed stumped in a test innings. It also provides the fourth occasion of an Indian opener dismissed stumped in a test innings against Australia.
