It is interesting to note that STR Binny had earlier emulated the feat of his father RMH Binny in scoring a century for Karnataka. STR Binny had scored a century (118) in Karnataka’s first innings. Thus they became the first Father-Son combination to score a century against the same opposition

STR Binny became the tenth all rounder when he took his 100^th wicket. His run aggregate in Ranji Trophy read 3683 at the end of Karnataka’s first innings in this game. Father RMH Binny is also in the list of Karnataka cricketers who have accomplished the all rounder’s feat of 1000 plus runs and 100 plus wickets. Thus RMH and STR Binny earned the distinction of becoming the first Karnataka Father-Son pair to accomplish the all rounder’s feat of 1000 plus runs and 100 plus wickets.
