G Gambhir joins the elite list of batsmen who have aggregated 500 plus runs in a Vijay Hazare Trophy season

G Gambhir of Delhi aggregated 500 runs in a season of Vijay Hazare Trophy. His aggregate in the ongoing season read 517 at the end of the semi final against Jharkhand at Bengaluru on 18.10.18. He reached the milestone when he was on 10 during the course of his knock of 27 in this game. His feat provides the eighth occasion of a batsman aggregating 500 plus runs in Vijay Hazare Trophy season. He becomes the seventh batsman to achieve the feat. A Mukund of Tamil Nadu has performed the feat twice – in 2009/10 and 2018/19 seasons. The following table lists all the eight occasions.
